A dream doesn't unfold the way we expected. But rejection doesn't define your future — your response to it does. This is about transforming rejection into redirection.

If you've ever been told "no," been overlooked, ignored, or felt like a door was closed in your face, this conversation is for you. Because I want you to remember one thing: rejection is not the end of your story. Sometimes it's simply the beginning of a new chapter you never imagined.
My story
When I moved to Canada, I came with education, professional experience, and hope. But reality looked different. Like many immigrants, I faced rejection. Job applications went unanswered. Interviews didn't always lead to offers.
There were moments I questioned myself. I wondered: Am I good enough? Did I make the right decision? What am I missing? Those moments were painful. But looking back today, I realize those rejections didn't stop my journey. They shaped it.
1. Rejection doesn't determine your value
A "no" from one employer doesn't mean you're incapable. One failed business doesn't mean you're not an entrepreneur. One disappointed client doesn't mean you'll never succeed.
Your worth isn't determined by someone else's decision.
2. Sometimes rejection is protection
Looking back, there are opportunities I desperately wanted that never happened. At the time, I was disappointed. Today, I'm grateful. Because if those doors had opened, I might never have discovered new opportunities, met incredible people, or started Heart to Heart with Prisca.
Not every closed door is a loss. Sometimes it's God's protection.
3. Every rejection is preparation
Every interview improved my confidence. Every setback strengthened my resilience. Every challenge taught me something I still use today.
Growth often happens in the waiting.
A faith reflection
Throughout the Bible, we see people who faced rejection, disappointment, or seasons of waiting. Yet God used those seasons to prepare them for something greater.
Sometimes God's "not yet" is preparing you for a better "yes." Keep hope alive, and keep engaging your skill.
A practical challenge
This week, I want you to think about one rejection you've been carrying. Instead of asking, "Why did this happen to me?" ask, "What is this experience teaching me?"
That one question can shift your perspective from defeat to growth.
